Packing List for 2 Weeks in Europe (Fall)

Five days from now we'll be boarding our plane to Vienna. We're spending two weeks in Europe—seven nights on a a river cruise with Uniworld (on the River Ambassador), two nights at the Boscolo Prague, and four nights at an Airbnb apartment in Prague further away from the tourist areas. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the "Go Active" tours, which include hiking and biking. I plan on dressing for dinner while on the riverboat (including two gala nights), and in Prague we have fancy dinner reservations for my birthday and opera tickets for another night.

I'm not attempting to travel carry-on only because of the weight restrictions on Austrian Airlines; they only allow 17.5 pounds for a carry-on. We also want to leave room to bring back souvenirs and beer purchases, so we'll each be checking one bag and carrying on backpacks. We'll have the opportunity to do laundry in our apartment, and cleaning service is available onboard if we want to pay for it.

I don't want to bring anything more than necessary, but I also don't want to re-wear clothes that are likely to get smelly while touring. Weather could be anywhere from the low 50's to the mid 70's, and there's always a chance of rain. I found that working through my itinerary and planning what I might wear each day helped me remove a few items I had planned on bringing

So, without any further adieu, here's what's on our list.

His & Hers Packing List for Two Weeks In Europe

Clothing for Her:

• Shoes: 3 pairs (sandals, sneakers, evening sandals) - one pair will be worn on the plane
• Dresses: 3
• Skirts: 3 (two evening, one for daytime wear)
• Pants: 1 pair (will likely wear these on the plane because they're super comfy)
• Jeans: 2 pair
• Shorts: 1 pair
• Sleeveless/Shortsleeve tops: 13 (remember, I need clothes for dinner as well)
• Camisoles: 4
• Sweaters: 3 (this is two cardigans and a shrug)
• Long-sleeve shirt: 1
• Pajamas
• Light jacket
• Rain jacket
• Socks: 5 pairs
• Underwear: 12 pairs
• Bras: 2

Here's everything of mine except the jeans, pajamas, and undergarments, ready to be packed.

Clothing for Him:

• Shoes: 3 pairs (sneakers and brown & black shoes that work for casual or dress)
• Pants: 2 pairs (for dinners)
• Jeans: 2 pairs (one will be worn on the plane)
• Shorts: 3 pairs
• Button-up shirts: 3
• T-shirts: 10
• Undershirts: 10
• Long-sleeve shirt: 1
• Light jacket
• Rain jacket
• Socks: 11 pairs (includes athletic and dress socks)
• Boxer shorts: 10 pairs

I'd share a picture of Aaron's stuff, but he's no where near ready. It's a miracle that we've determined what he'll be bringing.

These items will be in our backpacks, along with one change of clothes for when we land in Vienna. We likely won't have access to our rooms and luggage until late afternoon, and we'd like to make the most of the day. I'm planning on making a quick change in the airport and trying to fend off jetlag.
