Bhitarkanika National Park - Wildlife Sanctuary
About:-
Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary is the 2nd Largest Mangrove Ecosystem in India which spreads over 672sq. km but the forest area is only 163.4sq. km.
Bhitaranika is located in Kendrapara District of Odisha state. It is the delta of Brahmani and Baitarani rivers and is an estuary. This was the first area in the State to be declared as Wildlife Sanctuary in the year 1975.
If you are planning a tour of Bhitarkanika then you can go to Gupti & after that, you can reserve a Boat from Gupti to Dangamal according to your suitable price and travel with your luggage bag. After reaching Dangamal you can visit Deer Park, Crocodile Museum, a different species of crocodile named as "Gori- White crocodile" and "Kali- Black crocodile" also seen at this place.
Bhitarkanika National Park is spread over Rajnagar and Rajkanika blocks. The mangrove ecosystem of Bhitarkanika is one of the best reptiles refuges and the largest heronry in the country.
It has been declared as a Ramsar site (wetland of International importance).

Bhitarkanika National park is situated about 146 km from Bhubaneswar and 70 km from Kendrapara district headquarter.

- Nearest Railway station - Cuttack Railway station & Jajpur Road station
You can go by bus from Bhubaneswar to Kendrapara and after reach Kendrapara you can book a cab to Gupti and go by bus also.
